About Us

We don’t just build tunnels – we engineer the future of flight

Founded and led by Boris Nebe — a former pilot for Germany’s leading airline, military helicopter pilot, and professional skydiver and coach — ISG is driven by a lifetime devoted to flight. This rare depth of experience, both in the air and in the tunnel, fuels ISG’s vision and sets us apart as Europe’s leading wind tunnel manufacturer. Together with Dr. Manuel Dohr, Boris Nebe is responsible for the development of the ISG vertical wind tunnels and registered as inventor of various international ISG patent claims with the German and the European Patent Office.

Engineering the Dream of Flight

From the very beginning, ISG has been built on innovation — and on the oldest dream of mankind: flight. In 2007 we partnered with the aerospace department of the Technical University of Berlin to develop a new generation of vertical wind tunnel, quieter, more energy-efficient, and engineered with unmatched precision. This collaboration led to the launch of ISG’s first facility in Bottrop, the first modern wind tunnel of its kind in Europe, which quickly became the benchmark for the industry.

Leading the Way in Wind Tunnel Design

Now approaching (more than 19 tunnel projects) our 19th tunnel project, ISG continues to set the pace for vertical wiand tunnel design. Our systems are trusted across the world for elite training, international competitions, aand next-generation entertainment. Every tunnel we build reflects the highest German engineering staandards, designed not only for performance but for the future of flight itself.

With a proven track record, relentless innovation, and a foundation rooted in one of humanity’s oldest aspirations, ISG leads by example. Our tunnels consistently define the standard others follow. Because at ISG, flight is more than a business. It’s our life’s work.
